The Position

Our Survey Programmers are responsible for the programming and quality assurance of online surveys, as well as, the management of survey samples. This individual will work closely with our project management and client services teams to consult on survey design and to ensure that our client’s projects are completed on time and within budget.


This position is client-facing and requires providing excellent customer service while managing our custom qualitative market research projects. The position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects while meeting quick deadlines.


  • Cross-Collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance to ensure project success.
  • Attending project kick-off meetings to ensure survey logic makes sense and that surveys are designed in a way to find people that fit participant requirements.
  • Provide consultative feedback to the project team as well as clients about how to best structure questionnaires for efficient programming and data delivery; offering alternate solutions when requests are not feasible.
  • Ability to learn new survey programming platforms including, but not limited to, Decipher and Qualtrics, with Decipher being the priority.
  • Programing participant requirements in our survey system.
  • Checking for the accuracy of the survey program by validating the programming is error-free, and by testing the survey online.

Skills and Qualifications Needed

  • Knowledge or ability to learn survey programming language (Decipher, Sawtooth Qualtrics, or other).
  • Knowledge of user experience and market research preferred.
  • To thrive (not just survive) under pressure.
  • Strong emotional and social intelligence skills for managing client relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to de-dupe and sort data.
  • Strong logic and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside of the box.
